Nasce ad Ancona, non ancora ventenne trascorre la sua vita tra Londra e l’India. Arriva il tempo di Milano e di nuovo quello di dividersi tra Milano e Firenze dove realizza Bijoux di sua ideazione, collaborando anche alla progettazione di accessori con diverse firme (Fiorucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, etc..)
La vita la porta ancora più verso Oriente. In Giappone alla fine degli anni ’80 inizia la sua personale collezione di Kimono. In Fine arriva a Roma, dove trasforma il suo laboratorio in un atelier unico.
Un itinerario avventuroso, attraverso i tesori acquistati e le tecniche di lavorazione che Gloria ha appreso duranti i suoi lunghi viaggi in Oriente.
“Sarà perché sono nata in una città che si affaccia sul mare ad Est, dove il sole sorge e tramonta sull’acqua, sarà che l’est è il luogo verso il quale ho sempre viaggiato e nuotato, il mio orizzonte.”
Born in Ancona, before the age of twenty, she was already (a world traveler) spending her time between London and India.
Life took her next to Milan, where she again split her time between two places, Milan and Florence, designing and creating her own original jewelry and collaborating with various companies (Fiorucci, Jean Paul Gautier, etc…) on accessory design.
Until life pulled her once again toward the Orient.
In Japan, at the end of the 1980s, she began her personal collection of kimonos.
Finally she arrived in Rome, where she transformed her (artisan) workshop into a one-of-a-kind atelier.
It’s been an adventurous journey, an ongoing voyage through a world of found treasures and unique craftsmanship techniques that Gloria has discovered and learned from throughout her many long travels in the Orient.
